Currys is one of the leading computer software and video game shops in the United Kingdom and in the Republic of Ireland. There are over 300 Currys superstores and high street stores throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland and Currys also has an excellent online ordering service through its website. Currys sells a comprehensive range of gaming products including:

• Consoles including PlayStation 2, PSP, XBox 360, Game Boy Micro, Nintendo DS and Gizmondo.

• Console bundles (packages where you buy both a console and games or accessories together at a reduced price).

• An extensive choice of games for the PS2, PSP, XBox 360, Game Boy Micro, Nintendo DS, Gizmondo and for PCs.

• Accessories including controllers, memory cards, adaptors, lens and disc cleaners, cables, storage towers, steering wheels, cases, headsets, cameras and speakers.

Ordering From Currys: Delivery Times/Postage and Packaging Costs

Currys only deliver to the United Kingdom (excluding the Channel Islands) although they can't deliver some larger items to the Isle of Man, Anglesey, the Scilly Isles and the Scottish Islands. All deliveries must be signed for - except for small deliveries sent by post that can get through the mailbox.

Delivery Charges

Delivery charges depend on the type of product ordered and on the kind of delivery you choose.

• Games, PC software and accessories can be delivered by post or by courier at a standard delivery charge of £2.99

• Games Consoles are delivered by courier at a standard delivery charge of £6.99.

Occasionally, Currys has special offers where games consoles and games can be purchased online free of delivery charges.

No matter how many products you order, only the highest delivery charge will apply – you therefore only pay one delivery charge regardless of how many products you buy with your order.

Currys Delivery Times

A normal delivery is within 5 working days of placing your order and will be delivered between 9am and 5pm Monday – Friday.

You can choose to have your Currys goods delivered by a premium delivery service at an extra cost. Depending on the chosen day and time, the cost for the extra service is between £6 and £14.

Delivery arrangements can be completely different though, if you choose a product with a green van logo. The logo means that the product will be delivered directly from the manufacturer and that full delivery details will be given after purchasing your order.

Very occasionally different products in the same Currys order might be delivered separately at no extra cost.

Currys' site includes an Order Tracking service so that you can see how your order is progressing. You can enter it by logging in on their website and then go to ‘My Account'.

Ordering from Currys: Added Value Services

Currys has great deal prices for their products with regular sales and also exclusive offers to online customers.

When demand is particularly high, Currys occasionally offers a pre-order service that allows you to order forthcoming games or games consoles so that you receive it on the day of release.

Currys' website clearly shows the age suitability ratings on relevant products on the product specifications on their site so that you can make an accurate judgement about whether or not a game is suitable for any children you are buying for.

Ordering from Currys: Refunds and Returns Policy

You can cancel your purchase free of charge and with a full refund as long as cancellation takes place either before or up to 14 days after delivery by:

• returning the product to one of the stores bringing your receipt with you and the card you paid with so that it can be credited;

• using one of the Currys' pre-paid return labels delivered with your order;

• or by phoning Currys on 0870 333 1222 - having your order reference number and delivery details ready.

Your product must be complete, unused and ‘as good as new'. It's okay if you have opened your order to have a look at it as long as you did it carefully. It should therefore be returned with the original box, packing and accessories. All software must still be sealed and any 'Free Gifts' received with the product must also be returned.

Currys does not cancel your purchase when:

• you return your product to a store without proof of purchase;

• the seal has been broken on any software including games;

• or if the goods were a special order to your specification.

Return of Faulty Goods

If there is a fault or defect with your product within 12 months of delivery, Currys will normally offer a prompt repair, an exchange or a refund.

If it happens within 28 days of delivery, Currys will offer you the choice of an exchange or a refund.

Faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear are not covered by Currys' above mentioned promises.

If your gaming software is faulty while still under a guarantee, Currys will exchange it for the same title or refund your money.

Any refund due to a fault or other defect will also include a refund of the delivery charge you have paid.

Ordering from Currys: Other Points

In most cases, you can choose to have your order delivered to another address rather than your own if, for example, you buy it as a gift (excluding the Channel Islands and, for some larger items, also excluding the Isle of Man and the Scottish islands.) Currys cannot deliver to PO Box numbers.

All video games available from Currys are PAL (UK and Europe versions) – they do not offer NTSC (US) video games.
