Xbox 360 update features over 125 changes

The biannual update for the Microsoft Xbox 360 has been released and is currently on Xbox Live, ready to download onto your console. Among the 125 plus improvements, the most prominent is a download manager which allows six downloads to be prioritised in order.

The ‘dashboard’ of the 360 has been altered too, mainly in order to make ordering from the Xbox Live Marketplace easier. Media functions such as the DVD and music player along with the video viewer have all received facelifts.

This update is free of charge but you’ll need an Xbox Live Gold or Silver account in order to download it. According to the official Xbox website, downloading the update will only take about a minute on a standard broadband connection. No hard disc space will be used as the update will be stored in the consoles built-in memory.
