Gizmondo

Launched in 2005, Tiger Telematics Gizmondo is a new handheld console with high-end features designed to rival the PlayStation PSP and the Nintendo DS. The console is durable, thanks to its rubbery black case, and its small size allows it to fit easily into your pocket. The Gizmondo offers a whole host of features, with the ability to play movies, take photos, download MP3's and play games.

The Gizmondo boasts 400 MHz of processor power, a state of the art graphics chip from NVIDIA, plus a large high-resolution TFT screen. Built-in GPS technology gives a whole new dimension to the concept of mobile gaming. The Windows Multimedia MP3 facility allows you to download music and listen to it on the move thanks to the stereo headset socket.

• GPS Technology

The benefits of GPS satellite navigation in a game console are twofold: you can find your way around in a strange town or city (it helps you to find a cash machine or the nearest bank), or you can use it to expand your game-playing horizons with its multiplayer expanding facilities.

• Bluetooth Enabled

You can play multiplayer games with anyone from around the world thanks to Bluetooth technology.

• Built in Camera

An integrated digital camera lets you capture special moments with friends and family, then share them by using the Gizmondo's MMS capabilities. Send your photos to other Gizmondo consoles, mobile phones and PDAs. You can also store your images on SD cards.

• Download Music and Games

Download the latest MP3's with your Gizmondo, thanks to Windows Multimedia MP3 technology. Multi-level quality games can also be downloaded over the mobile network too.

• Security

Keep your Gizmondo secure with digital encryption. Piracy and theft are prevented thanks to a digital handshake, restricted access and ‘Destruct at engagement' technology.

• Pin-Sharp Graphics

With a 2.8 inch LCD screen, the Gizmondo delivers pin sharp graphics and a backlit screen, thanks to the 128 bit 3D Graphics Accelerator from NVIDIA. This allows you can play at anytime, day or night by simply changing the setting of the screen. The screen has three settings: off, half and full.

• Built-in Rechargeable Battery

A rechargeable battery provides the power for the Gizmondo. When you run out of power, you simply plug the AC adaptor into the console to recharge.

• Extensive Choice of Games

With the ever expanding amount of titles in the Gizmondo library, you won't be stuck finding games to play! Games for the Gizmondo include:
