A controller is an integral part of your games console. Traditionally called a joystick, your handheld controller is used to navigate you through the game. Without it you wouldn't be able to play the game.

Most games consoles allow people to play games together using a controller each. This allows each person to compete and interact with each other. You can also use the controller to play against the console itself, and select the game, level and player you want to play as.
